The Board of Directors has promoted programs that provide information and teach people how to think, but not what to think, until they have looked at more than one side of any question. After research and analysis, program participants are expected to form their own opinions. Board members have also championed programs that take participants into their communities to learn in the real world. They hope that you, as part of that real world, will join us to help make the United States and the world a stronger and better place to live, for this generation and generations to come.

The Board of Directors recently lost two of its original members. Currently the Board members are the Founders, Melvin J. Kaplan, Margaret Bohannon-Kaplan and Peter Fukumae, a long term friend who has volunteered his accounting services to the Foundation since its inception over twenty years ago.

The Advisory Board

Sheri WoodsGreen is the founder and president of WISE Ventures, a social venture capital firm and One Globe Foundation. She has integrated her diverse professional experience in the private, social, and public sectors to create a new approach to producing and funding successful sustainable ventures. 

Steve Platt is another member of our Advisory Board who is unrivaled in the enthusiasm and dedication he has freely given to our Kids 4 Kids Program.

The third member of the Harry Singer Foundation Advisory Board, Cindy Mercer, gives many hours of her valuable time traveling to promote the Foundation and its many projects. Cindy is dedicated to affecting positive change in the world. We are extremely fortunate to have Cindy as part of the Harry Singer Foundation all-volunteer-team.
