Teachers
The teachers the Harry Singer Foundation has worked with over the years have renewed our faith in education. The Foundation realizes they are a select few. The teachers who respond to our invitations are among the most creative, open minded, dedicated and hard working teachers in the country.
Our national and state legislators and other government officials have pledged to do what's best for our country. We hope as they read these pages they will take the time to acknowledge the dedication and hard work exhibited by teachers in their jurisdictions.
Like most public officials, most teachers are also trying to do what's best for our youth. The teachers listed here participated in our 1994 contests and intentionally make more work for themselves. They didn't have to. They could have stuck strictly to their curriculum. Many others refused. More than five thousand were invited. Those who saw the 1994 contests through to the end accepted the challenge and the Harry Singer Foundation honors them.
