Volunteers
Although 16% of the class said they currently volunteered, only one student told us about
the experience:
"My mother is the center manager of the local Head Start. I have volunteered in the classroom, in meetings distributing paperwork and so forth. I also volunteer through Key Club and Kiwanis.
Reasons for not volunteering
"I don't want to waste my time."
"I need a paying job."
