Issues On Society's Problems

Grade 11

Current divorce rates can be decreased by making couples live together for a year before marriage. Many people do this anyway and the ones who don't are usually the one's who end up getting divorced. Even people who are pregnant, and then get married just for the baby, are those who make divorce rates go up. People having to live together for a year are people who find out if they belong together.

If you have lived with a person for a year you will figure out if you have a lot of problems with that person. You'll know if you are compatible with one another. You'll know more about that person and if you want to marry them or not. Living together for a year should be a law.

People getting married because they think they have to, might end up being the one's getting divorced. They may have children and then that child end's up in a one-parent family. Not saying this is a bad thing, there are some ways to be a one-parent full time homemaker. You could run a child day care service in your home. You could work for a big corporation out of your home or even sell products for a company. You would be able

to take care of your child and make money at the same time.

The government should not provide social services for people who can make money without it. People who can't make their own money should be offered social services. An alternate to social services might be, the government trying to help one-parent families find an at home job. If the government helped out by providing money for a short period of time it might help to lower the amount of people on social services. The government could just give people a little boost.

This might also reduce tax rates. If schools minimized their spending a little more people also wouldn't have to pay as many taxes. Yes, schools need money for books and buses and things like that. Some of the lesser important things can be done without, to reduce spending money and to reduce raising taxes.

Keeping taxes down might be a way to make people believe that the government is doing a good job and that it cares about the people. There are people who think the government doesn't care. This might be a way to make the American people believe that the government really can help reduce taxes. People would like lower taxes This might make people appreciate the government more. People may also become more cooperative.

This could help communities to become richer. In many communities there are people who have no money and are living on the streets. People with more money should give money to help poor people find homes and live happy also. Rich people would hate to have to live like poor people, in the streets, and need to know what being poor is like. On the other hand a lot of people are lazy and shouldn't be provided with good income and housing if they can't help out with it themselves. If everyone helped there would be less poor and less people living on the streets.

If children grow up having money and a stable home they will be better prepared in life. We can prepare students for life and the workplace by having practice at the career you want to pursue. Your parents can help you to learn about bills and house payments. As long as there is help, young adults will turn out to have a good life. They will learn how to be responsible people and know how to manage children and their home.

To help unemployed young people to advance when they have a low-skill job is to offer them affordable schooling to expand their educational skills. This will make better paying companies want them in their workplace. The more education you have the better job you might get. This is how you can help people with low-skilled jobs find better work. Also, if they want a better job they will work harder for it. Many young people blow off school thinking it will never help them. If they know they have a good job to look forward to, they will work harder. They will have motivation to do their best.

Also making employment easier on people can help out. If people didn't have such a hard time finding good jobs, the unemployment rate would be lower than it already is. It has been at a twenty year low but why not help to lower it more? If more people could have jobs, less people would be poor and there would be less people needing social services. Less people needing social services means a reduction in taxes. Everything ties together in some way.

There are many problems in today's society that can be fixed. They can be fixed if people help each other out. The government also needs to help in some ways. Everyone can help make life better and easier to live in. Even just one person can help out his/her community. It doesn't always take a lot of people to help the world, it can be helped just by one individual.
