What Would The World be Like If
Everyone Was Responsible?
By Mark Lovell
Grade 11
Everyone in the world has responsibilities. There are a ton of different responsibilities that people can have! For Example, people have a responsibility to their God, their family, and their friends.
To start out with, the responsibility that people have to their God is most important in my opinion. I think God should be number one in everyone's life because He is the most needed. You will die at some point in your life and when this happens your family and your friends won't go with you. If more people were more Godly the communities of the world would be a lot better. When people serve God they seem to be a whole lot happier. If people would just follow some of the Ten Commandments the world would be a lot better off. There would be no killing, no committing adultery, no stealing, no lying, and no jealousy. These are only half of the Ten Commandments and if people would follow these five little things the world would be a better place for everyone. These are very common sense type things. It doesn't take a religious person to know that these type of things are wrong. If you don't with hold your responsibility to God it will all come back to you later. It is so easy to serve God. Your family and your friends will pass on. God will be with you forever. Or maybe not. You decide.
Next of all, people have a responsibility to their family. The communities of today would be improved if everyone would recognize their duty to their family. If people did start accepting their role in their family there would be a lot less divorce and this would undoubtedly make our communities better. When people get divorced it shows that at least one of the people involved in the relationship are irresponsible. Even when people get divorced they still have a responsibility to their family. For example, child support is one way that a person can still have a responsibility to their family even though the family might be broken up. I think child support is very important, but I am also strongly opposed to divorce. Since it took two people to make a child it also takes two people to raise a child. Granted, some kids that have grown up in singe parent homes have gone on to be very successful people. In the news we hear people say the reason I did this or the reason I did that was because I didn't have a mother figure as a child, or I didn't have a father figure as a child. Maybe this is where your responsibility as a person comes in. You just have to overcome those things. Yes I feel sorry for kids that aren't as fortunate as me because I have both parents, but you can't make excuses for yourself. That is really weak.
Thirdly, there is a responsibility that people have to their friends. If people were more friendly it would make our communities much better and happier. People that don't socialize at all can't be very happy. Most people have a group of friends that they go out with and have fun with. At some point, people have to just unload their problems while someone sits and listens. This is one of the best ways to decrease stress. Your responsibility as a friend is to be there for your friend. Let them unload their problems on you whenever they need to. Also, as a friend you have to show your friends that you actually do care about them. Your responsibilities to your friends are chosen responsibilities. When you decide to be someone's friend you decide to care about them. One way that people could make a better community is to have community gatherings or maybe even parties. This would bring people together and then people would have a chance to meet other people in the community. You never know what this could do until you try it. If once in the spring and once in the fall there was a community get together then it wouldn't most likely provide for a more friendly community.
In conclusion, responsibilities are never ending things. The older you get the more responsibilities you have. People have a responsibility to God, to their family, and to their friends along with many other people and things. If people were more responsible the world would be a better place. Communities could easily be improved with the help of responsible people.

America is very diverse and big so we are going to have disagreements on some issues and lawyers help us solve these disputes peacefully.

Q9. I don't think President Clinton's antipoverty program is going to work because other politicians have gone to the places he went and nothing happened. Also I think that we will always have irresponsible people that refuse to support their family so the average guy does it for him. People also won't want to take the chance of investing in poor areas.
Q10. They both believe in God and they both helped children. And they both were very determined.
