Traditions - St. Patrick's Day

"My father has his own business and when we were kids every year we baked special cookies with green frosting for the employees and decorated the office for the occasion."
Louis, South Dakota

"On St.Patrick's Day my family reads the Dr. Seuss book. Then my mom makes "Green Eggs And Ham" [like the Dr.Seuss book]. My mom makes scrambled eggs with green food coloring. We all go to school and work in a little bit of green so we don't get pinched."
Student, Washington

"We all make a birthday cake for our dog, Cody. Then we eat it (not Cody). After that, we sing to Cody."
Jessica Rennaker, Washington

"Every year on St. Patrick's Day we stay home and watch the parade on T.V. Then after the parade we go to my grandmother's house. We have a lot of fun with our relatives. When our relatives leave we have a sleep over with one of our relatives. We stay up late. We leave the next evening and have some dinner have a good time. When we go to bed, we go right to bed."
