The middle generation, that backbone of traditional American volunteerism, is overextended - some members working two jobs, even in two-earner households. Many are caught between the needs of the younger and older generations and find themselves dividing their time and caring for both. There is little time for family, let alone volunteering! What can Another Way  do for members of this generation?

Another Way  views the older and younger generations as resources rather than problems. By participating in Another Way  these generations are able to get the love and attention they need through social interaction in the community and this provides relief to the middle generation.

If taxes didn't take such a chunk out of paychecks the middle generation would not have to work such long hours and could spend more time with their families. Another Way  makes a real tax reduction possible by decreasing the burden on government but without hurting the people who depend on social service programs. Studies show that when parents have the time to get involved in their children's education, grades rise at least one point -- it is a proven correlation.
