Another Way participants never seek subsidies or giftsthey learn to bartereverything is looked at as a trade. Barter is a mindset; people and ideas don't deserve; they earn. Although Another Way focuses on trades of time, goods and services, money can also be considered a tradeif something is given in return. The only place money has in Another Way is as a trade for value received. Value may be a promise and sometimes that promise is to pass on the generosity or opportunity to someone else via the Matchmaker program. This is one of the lessons young people learn when they become members of the Volunteer Corps.
